Hundreds of cannabis plants found being grown at business premises in Sandling Road, Maidstone

Three men have been arrested after a cannabis factory was discovered in Maidstone.

Officers from the town's Community Policing team carried out a search of the business premises in Sandling Road on Friday (October, 1).

They found around 450 plants being grown in four separate rooms which had been kitted out with cultivation equipment.

Many of the plants were fully grown.

A 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

Two other men, both aged 31, were detained at another address in the town in connection with the same offence.

All three men have been released pending further investigation.
