Police find cannabis farm near Maidstone Girls Grammar and Maplesden Noakes schools in Buckland Hill, Maidstone

Police are investigating after a cannabis farm was found in a residential street close to two schools.

Officers were called to reports of drug-related activity at a property on Friday at around 8.20pm.

Police entered the Buckland Hill site in Maidstone and discovered around 50 cannabis plants.

They dismantled any equipment being used for cannabis cultivation while at the scene.

The property is close to Buckland Road where Maidstone Girls Grammar School and Maplesden Noakes School are based.

A police spokesman said: “No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.”
