Cannabis farm found in former polo club

Hundreds of cannabis plants worth £36,000 have been found at a former polo club in Boughton Monchelsea.

Police found more than 300 plants when they stormed Wierton Place, in Wierton Road, which used to operate as an exclusive nightclub and polo club.

A 52 year old man was arrested for cultivating cannabis and a 23 year old man was arrested for possession of cannabis. Both men have been bailed until Friday November 19 to return to Maidstone Police station.
