From the makers of Race Across The World, Gogglebox and The Traitors, the reality show sees 16 people who will be split into "rules" and "grafters".

The "rulers" are in power and must encourage the "grafters" to compete in challenges to try and win the money.

One of the competitors is Connor, a care home manager from Dover, is among those taking part.

He started volunteering in the care sector at the age of 16 and now works with the elderly and people with disabilities.

He said: "I’m a strong person and to win Rise and Fall I think you have to be outspoken, I’m good at analysing people and I think I’ll be able to sniff out the weaker ones, the fake ones, all the manipulators and I think I’ll be able to sniff out the worst ones.

"With my charm and sass, I’ll probably work my way right up to the top and win Rise and Fall series one."

The game will mimic real-life power dynamics as rulers will encourage the grafters to work harder as they live in their lavish penthouse.

While the grafters must survive in a confined basement without natural light and with repetitive, plain food while having to compete in physically challenging tasks, to build a cash prize only the rulers can win.

However rulers must not push too hard or they might find themselves overthrown by the power.

Anyone has the chance to be in a position of power and anyone can fall, which will be decided by the other players.

At the end of the game only one ruler will have the chance of winning the cash prize.
