Dust and water poured into a Maidstone GP surgery this afternoon after a gaping hole opened up in the ceiling.

The damage to the Shepway Medical Centre in Northumberland Court was caused by a leak above what's believed to be the practice's waiting room.

Repairs are currently underway and the ceiling has since been boarded up.

He was resuscitated before being taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury in a serious condition.
