OUTSPOKEN television favourite Trisha Goddard is switching her morning show to Kent.
The Maidstone Studios, praised for its excellent facilities, have won the popular chat show in a two-year deal.
It is a coup for the privately-owned studios which wooed The Trisha Goddard Show away from its present production facility at Teddington.
It follows a £2million investment in a new studio which can accommodate a 1,000-strong audience.
It is the studios’ first major chat show and will attract an invited audience from across the county.
The 60-minute show is broadcast daily on Channel Five between from 10.30am and 11.30am.
Malcolm Allsop, managing director of Goddard’s production company, Town House TV, said: "The Maidstone Studios will provide us with excellent facilities in the heart of a tremendous catchment area for guests and audience members."
Kenton Oxley, general manager of The Maidstone Studios, said: "This is the first major chat show to be filmed here and we hope that it will attract many others, to the ultimate benefit of the region."
