Child 'kidnapped' in Huntington Road in Coxheath

A child was blindfolded and taken to the woods by two men.

The 10-year-old was playing in Huntington Road in Coxheath when the incident is reported to have happened.

The young boy was playing in Huntington Road in Coxheath

He is said to have been taken by the men in a white van.

He was later returned home safe.

People living in the area were encouraged by police to tell other residents to remain vigilant.

A police spokesperson said: "Kent Police was contacted at 4pm on Tuesday, February 16 and it was reported that a boy had been approached in Coxheath.

"Officers attended and the boy was located safe and well. Officers are carrying out initial enquiries to establish the full circumstances."
