School friends have found a way to stay connected online and raise money for the NHS at the same time.

Pupils from East Farleigh Primary School in Maidstone have created a 'toilet roll challenge' video which sees the youngsters throw the bathroom paper to one another - even though they are all at home with their families.

The video was the idea of Summer Gray and her parents James and Samantha, who planned the challenge with other parents of the four and five-year-olds of Year R class in a WhatsApp group.

They then edited the piece together once all the families had recorded their clip of the toilet roll being tossed from classmate to classmate.

Mr Gray said: "We thought it would be a fun thing to do and it gave them all something to do together, because they are all missing each other from school.

"We wanted to see if we could achieve getting the whole class involved, just for a bit of fun, but then we thought about doing it for the NHS and saying thank you to our key workers.

"There's been some lovely feedback online so far, lots of positive comments, and we'd love to raise even more money for this very worthy cause."
