A collapsed bank on a stretch of train line almost two weeks ago is still affecting commuter services to London.

The landslip at Hollingbourne overnight on Friday, January 8, meant freight services had to be rerouted through Tonbridge and Sevenoaks.

Network Rail engineers prompty cleared the line but work has continued every night since to ensure the route is safe.

This has meant overnight freight services have been unable to use the stretch.

A Southeastern spokesman said three to four services between 7am and 9am each day have been delayed by between five and 10 minutes.

He added work is expected to be complete by Saturday.
