A man has been taken to Maidstone Hospital after he was found walking near the River Medway with a head injury.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, was found walking in Maidstone's Broadway, close to the bridge that goes over the River Medway.

Police and paramedics tended to him at 3.20pm and a police spokesman told KentOnline the man is not Pat Lamb, a 28-year-old who has been missing since a night out in Maidstone nearly a month ago.

Police and ambulance crews at the scene

The South East Coast Ambulance Service were first called shortly before 3pm and were told he was originally near the Vine Medical Centre, in Tonbridge Road.

No criminal offences have been committed.
