Police have called off a search around Maidstone Hospital after a father of five who went missing on Tuesday evening was found safe and well.

An appeal was launched yesterday morning for information relating to the whereabouts of 31-year-old Raymond Tinker.

Officers said they were growing increasingly concerned for the man, of Essex Road, Shepway, who was last seen in Hermitage Lane at 6.20pm on Tuesday.

But police have now released a statement saying he has been found in the Maidstone area, shortly after midnight.
