Motorists in Maidstone were stuck in traffic for around two hours as a result of a two-car crash.

The accident, involving a Volkswagen Golf and a Citroen Saxo, happened on Sittingbourne Road, near Frigenti Place, at around 4.40pm on Tuesday.

No one was injured, but police had to close the road in both directions at about 5.50pm to recover one of the vehicles.
