A collision on a busy road in Maidstone has been causing delays to motorists this morning.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Willington Street, at the junction with Northumberland Road, at 7.09am today.

Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to the scene where two vehicles were reported to have been involved.

The road was cleared shortly after 9am.

The extent of injuries are currently unclear.

Motorists are advised to approach with caution and expect delays.
