Firefighters were called to the same address twice in one day after a garage caught alight.

Two crews attended a property in Thurnham, Maidstone, just after 4.30pm yesterday, to reports of a blaze. They spent just over half-an-hour at the scene.

At 8.40pm, they were asked to return to the property in Thurnham Lane because the outbuilding had reignited.

They returned to base at around 9.30pm after damping down the area.

Both incidents were initially reported to Kent Police as suspicions but further investigations ruled out any foul play.
