Traffic was delayed after police closed off a busy road yesterday following a crash between a car and a cyclist.

The accident happened in Heath Road, Coxheath, near the Linton crossroads at 2pm.

A crew from the South East Coast Ambulance Service was called and took the cyclist to hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

A police spokesman confirmed a local road closure was enforced until the area was cleared.
