Deaf pensioner sorts out intruders

A PLUCKY deaf pensioner sent two raiders packing after they attempted to burgle his home. He kicked one of them and hit the other with his walking stick.
The thieves knocked at the home of the 80-year old, of Greenborough Close, Shepway, Maidstone, at about 3pm on Tuesday.
When the pensioner answered the door and was unable to hear what the two men were saying, he went to get a piece of paper that they could write on.
While distracted, the two men went into house and began to look through his belongings. But the met their match when the victim realised what they were doing, fleeing empty-handed after being kicked and hit with the walking stick.
The two men are white, aged between 25 and 35, and about 5ft 10in tall with dark hair. One is stocky and was wearing a black jumper, blue jeans amd white trainers. The other was slim wearing a black jumper and trousers.
