There were delays for drivers on the M20 following a large spillage of diesel.

It was reported on the roundabout at J8 for Leeds just after 6.15am and led to two lanes being closed between the slips in and out of the services.

It had been cleared by 9.30am.

The M20 has now been reopened to domestic traffic after Operation Stack was lifted overnight.

Previously lorries had been queuing at the slip road, while they waited to be called forward onto the motorway.
