Police release an e-fit of man wanted after a violent attack in Maidstone Town Centre

Detectives have released an e-fit image of a man wanted in connection with a violent assault in Maidstone town centre.

A man was left with serious head injuries following the unprovoked attack, which took place in the High Street.

A 24-year-old man was walking with a friend when he was approached by two men.

Detectives want to speak to this man

The victim was hit and fell to the floor before being beaten. He was left with serious facial injuries and a broken finger.

The attack happened on Saturday, August 29, but details have only just been issued by police.

The men are also wanted in connection with an attempted robbery later that night.

A man in a car in Earl Street reported two men tried opening his car doors and had threatened him to hand over the vehicle.

They eventually gave up and ran off in the direction of Week Street.

Police have produced an e-fit of one man they would like to speak to.
