A drug dealer who hid thousands of pounds in clothes at his home has been jailed.
Rhys Costello was spotted acting suspiciously with two mobile phones in Maidstone in September.
Plain clothed officers in an unmarked car stopped a Mercedes Costello was traveling in on Knightrider Street and told him he was going to be searched for drugs.
As he got out he pushed one of the officers and ran off. Police caught up and arrested him in Lower Stone Street in connection with drug dealing.
A search at the scene revealed the 29-year-old was carrying £40 and a package containing a wrap of crack cocaine and a wrap of heroin.
His home in Knightrider Street was searched and police found £13,328 hidden in items of clothing.
One of the mobile phones he was carrying had received calls from known drug users.
He was charged with possessing crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.
He pleaded guilty and was jailed on Fridayoct25 to three years and eight months in prison.
District Commander for Maidstone, Kent Police’s Chief Inspector Ray Quiller said: "Once again a drug dealer has been caught by proactive officers patrolling in plain clothes.
"We continue to be alert for those seeking to bring misery to our town through the supply of cocaine and heroin, and will not hesitate to search those acting suspiciously.
"Where cash is seized and suspected to be the proceeds of crime, we will of course take steps to ensure it is confiscated."
