When the vehicle failed to stop, Kent Police's Road Policing Unit gave chase until a stinger was used on Capstone Road, Chatham.

The car then came to a stop.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "In connection with the incident, a 30 year-old man from Peckham, London was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, failing to stop when required by police officers and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
