JULIE Marsh, wife of former Kent cricket captain Steve, is hosting a ladies' lunch in aid of the county’s 2002 beneficiary Martin McCague.

The event is being held at Chart Hills Golf Club near Biddenden on Friday, March 1, where EastEnders’ star Shaun Williamson (aka Barry Evans), will be providing the post-lunch entertainment.

Tickets, priced at £29 a head, are available individually or in tables of eight or 10 from Carol Buck at the benefit office, 6 Doubleday Drive, Bapchild, Kent, ME9 9PJ.

All proceeds will go to the former England fast bowler who has served the county since 1991.
