Fire and ambulance crews were called to an incident near Barker Road in Maidstone.
Crews parked up outside the crown court near the subway opposite McDonald's at around 11.30am.
Staff at the Thai Orchid say a customer told them a woman fell down some stairs in the nearby subway.
It's understood she made it back to her car which was parked outside the restaurant but was unable to move once inside.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) spokesperson said: "I can confirm we were called at approximately 11.30am to The Broadway, Maidstone, to reports a person was suffering from back pain following a fall.
"Ambulance crews attended the scene and the person was assessed and treated before being taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital."
Kent Fire and Rescue Service says it was called at 12.14pm to assist SECAmb.
One fire engine attended but crews left half an hour later.
