Ex-soccer player dies from cancer

A FORMER professional footballer who played for a number of Kent clubs has died from cancer, it has been revealed.
David Carr, who was 48, was born in Aylesham, near Dover. He joined Maidstone United in 1984 after 10 years as a professional with Luton, Lincoln and Torquay.
He also appeared for Folkestone, Dover, Margate, Hythe and Sittingbourne. He was living in the Maidstone area at the time of his death.
