Public exhibition on housing proposals for Barty Farm in Thurnham

Visit the Tudor Park Hotel in Ashford Road, Bearsted, this afternoon to learn more about a scheme to redevelop Barty Farm at Thurnham. Property consultants Hobbs Parker will be hosting a public exhibition of plans to build 100 homes on the site, with access from Roundwell.

The land has been put forward for housing development in Maidstone council’s draft Local Plan and marked up to take up to 122 homes.

Hobbs Parker’s senior planning consultant Jane Scott said that the landowner was still negotiating with a housebuilder to deliver the scheme, and it would be “premature” to name the company at present.

No planning application has yet been submitted.

The exhibition will be in the Leeds Room, between 3pm and 7pm. All welcome.
