After discussions, they decided to join forces and create a hydrolysed collagen and vitamin powder aimed at improving customers health.

Co-founder Josh, a former Leigh Technology Academy student, explained: “Lockdown gave me the opportunity to reflect and take a step to improve my overall well-being and I haven’t looked back since.

“This is also why I am keen on the promoting a balance of psychological and physical well-being and want to help others proactively find that support.”

Josh, 31, who grew up in Dartford, used the coronavirus lockdowns as a chance to better his health and wants to share some of his journey with others.

He said he saw improvements to his hair and skin and the supplement was like a “hidden treasure”.

“I remembered my dad, Tom, a former footballer and my role model in maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle,” Josh added.

“His passion for well-being and helping others feel their best resonated deeply with me. So I reached out to my dad, who coincidentally at the time, was looking to start up a vitamin company. That’s when the idea struck us: why not turn our passion into something more? And so, Thank Collagen was born—a family-owned business with a mission to bring optimal well-being within everyone’s reach.”

Speaking about entering business with his 59-year-old dad, Tom, who is from Maidstone, Josh said: “Starting a business with my dad has been an amazing adventure and honestly something I have always wanted to do.

“While we've had our moments of differing opinions, those discussions have allowed us to see things from different angles and ultimately make better decisions. It's incredible how, through these experiences, we've strengthened our bond and found new ways to connect.”
