Arriva is running an increased service from the sites in Willington Street and London Road.

From Thursday, December 5 to Sunday, December 22, extra buses will be put on between 6.35pm and 9.30pm from Thursday to Saturday.

A Sunday service will also be in operation from Sunday, December 8, with an off-peak group return ticket available for just £2.50 for five people. This offer includes a maximum of two adults.

Oliver Monahan, area managing director for Arriva Kent and Surrey, said: “The weeks leading up to Christmas are always a busy time, especially for shopping, with many people relying on public transport to get them where they need to be.

"We are pleased to be able to run extra services in Maidstone particularly on the already-popular Park & Ride route, to ensure our passengers are well connected to shops and attractions during this busy period."
