Fifth teen arrested over stabbing

A fifth teenager has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of boy in Shepway.

The 19-year-old man was arrested on Friday November 27 on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and has been bailed pending further enquiries until Friday December 11.

The 15-year-old victim spent five days in Maidstone Hospital after being stabbed in the upper thighs near Northumberland Road on Friday November 20.

Four other teenagers arrested following the incident are all male and from Shepway. They are an 18-year-old who has been bailed until Friday December 11, one 16-year-old, one 15-year-old and one 14-year-old who have all been bailed until Monday January 11 2010 pending further enquiries.
