'Fire' at Kent Police HQ in Maidstone was false alarm

The fire service was called after concerns Kent Police's HQ was on fire.

This morning a fire alarm at the force's communications control room in Sutton Road, Maidstone, was activated.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were contacted and checks were completed in liaison with them.

It was established that it was a false alarm and no crews were sent to the site.
