A fire broke out at a business in a town centre.

Three fire engines were called to King Street in Maidstone at around 10pm last night following reports of a commercial premises ablaze.

Crews attended and used hose reel jets to put out the fire in the kitchen area.

No injuries were reported and the cause is believed to be accidental.

Firefighters were stood down at around 11.40pm yesterday.
