Fire crews spent an hour tackling a garden blaze in Park Wood near Maidstone this morning.

Firefighters were called to Bell Meadow just before 1.30am after flames spread from a fire pit to a wooden gazebo, a neighbouring fence and a shed.

The garden blaze broke out this morning. Stock photo.

Damage was also caused to a flat roof.

Two fire engines were at the scene while crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze they believe started accidentally.

Nobody was injured.
