Man in court accused of GBH after alleged attack outside Miller Heights in Maidstone

A block of flats was cordoned off by police after a man was allegedly attacked outside.

Officers and paramedics were called to Miller Heights, in Maidstone, at around 9.40am yesterday (August 18).

A police cordon was in place

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to his face.

Robert Fletcher, of The Broadway, Maidstone, was arrested and has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and possessing cocaine.

The 40-year-old is remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday (August 19).

He remains in custody and is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on September 16.

A police car was also seen parked out the front.
