The estate agents was opened on Saturday, March 19, by mayor Cllr Fay Gooch.
Co-owners Sam Edmonds and Alex Knight, current clients, family members, friends and employees gathered at the premises in King Street, adjoined to The Mall, between 9am and 11am for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Mr Edmonds said: "We were thrilled the mayor could make the event. She was engaging, genuinely interested and interacting with as many people as she could.
"There were lots of people coming throughout the day, including members of the public wanting to find out more about how we can help."
The pair have worked with each other and different agencies before deciding to launch Knight Edmonds in March 2020, just three weeks before the first Covid lockdown.
Mr Edmonds added: "A lot of business has come through word of mouth from recommendations and our boards that are going up in the local area.
"Now that we are on the high street we feel we can really show people who are looking to go through a home move, a smooth and as stress free experience as possible."
The well-known Pizza Hut site was left empty for some time after it was forced to close due to coronavirus pandemic.
Dozens gathered inside the shopping centre where Cllr Gooch cut the ribbon to officially open the venue.
She said: "I am really delighted to open this new branch of Knight Edmonds.
"This is an estate agents with a difference and I'm so delighted to open their new branch in Maidstone."
