Four injured in crash

Police accident

Four women were taken to hospital following a two-car crash in Sandhurst.

One woman was flown to a Brighton hospital by air ambulance with what police describe as "very serious" but not life threatening injuries.

Three others were taken overland to Kent and Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells.

The crash happened last Friday just after 7pm at the junction of Rye Road and Stone Pit Lane.

Firefighters cut the most seriously injured casualty free from the wreckage and extinguished a blaze in one of the vehicles.

Rye Road was closed until just after midnight.
