A housing landlord and charity have teamed up to provide free activities in Kent to keep little ones and families fully occupied this summer holiday.

Golding Homes and the Heart of Kent Hospice are hosting events across six days in areas around Maidstone.

There are six Elmer themed craft sessions starting from Monday, August 8, from 9am to 12pm in Parkwood, Shepway and Tovil.

Some of the activities include circus skills, T-shirt printing and street dance.

Sarah Leipnik, community investment manager at Golding Homes said: "It’s really important to us at Golding to be part of our local communities.

"We know lots of people are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis and so we’re pleased to be working with some of our partners to provide a range of free activities over the summer holidays.”

All activities are free to children aged between 5 and 15, with morning workshops providing a free takeaway lunch.

Golding Homes is also working with Charlton Athletic Community Trust to deliver their "Get Active" programme for the fifth year.

Free sports activities on offer include football, boxing, dancing, basketball, cricket, gymnastics and tennis.

These will be taking place throughout the summer months in Marden, Tovil, Park Wood and Shepway.
