A GIRL of six from Maidstone is in a critical condition in a London hospital after she was involved in a road accident in the town's Loose Road.

The girl was in collision with a Renault car at about 6pm on Saturday. She suffered serious injuries and is in intensive care.

Maidstone and Malling Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
