There is heavy traffic in the centre of Maidstone this morning partially caused by a broken down vehicle.

The car is stuck in the northbound section of the A229 Fairmeadow, just before the White Rabbit roundabout, adding to delays already being caused by the Maidstone Bridges Scheme.

Elsewhere congestion was reported on the A249 Sittingbourne Road between Chiltern Hundreds roundabout and A20 Ashford Road, with further delays southbound on the A229 at Royal Engineers Road.
