Officers were helped by the police helicopter after they were called to a report of a vehicle theft near Maidstone last night.

At around 10.20pm police were alerted to a stolen Land Rover in Redwall Lane, Linton.

The car was abandoned a short distance from the property it was taken from.

The helicopter, which helped search for potential suspects, was reported to be hovering around the area at around 11pm.

At this stage no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
