A 20-year-old man has been remanded in custody after being charged with burglary and assault.

Daniel Hedgeley, of no fixed abode, was arrested following a report of a burglary in St Luke's Road, Maidstone, on the evening of Tuesday, April 16.

Hedgeley was charged the same evening with burglary with violence and actual bodily harm, and remained in police custody prior to his appearance at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, April 18.

Hedgeley was remanded in custody pending a second court appearance at a date yet to be confirmed.
