A huge pothole on a troublesome road plagued by works has caused traffic problems for drivers.

Traffic along Hermitage Lane, Maidstone, is backing up and road users are facing delays as just one lane of the road remains open close to the Aylesford Retail Park.

The Barming-bound part of Hermitage Lane just off the A20 is shut as the pothole is closed off and prepared for repair work.

Traffic is queuing along the A20 towards Ditton and repair works are yet to get under way.
