Burst water main in Heath Road, Coxheath, floods road

A number of homes were left with low water pressure after a huge leak in a residential road.

The burst water main in Heath Road, Coxheath, was reported just before 3am.

A stream was reportedly running down Park Way, a road off of the main road.

One fire engine was called to the incident, and barriers have been put down to prevent flooding into homes.

A spokesperson for South East Water said at the time: “We're really sorry to those of you who are experiencing low water pressure or no water at the moment.

“This has been caused by a burst main which we are trying to fix as quickly as we can.

“As soon as the repairs have been completed, your water will return to normal.”

The fire service has been contacted for more information.
