Inquest into Wateringbury mum Suzanne Maclachlan who died in fatal A228 crash in Mereworth

The inquest into the death of a mother of one who died after being flown to hospital following a crash has opened this morning.
The court heard how Suzanne Maclachlan, from Wateringbury, had been travelling down the A228 in Mereworth when her red Peugeot 206 collided with a white Ford Transit van.
The crash happened at around 3.10pm on Sunday, August 20. She was flown to King's College Hospital in London but sadly died.
A post-mortem examination gave her cause of death as multiple severe injuries.
Patricia Harding, senior coroner for Mid-Kent and Medway, adjourned the full inquest to Monday, December 11.
The van driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit, and was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.
He was later interviewed under caution and released, pending further investigation by police.
Officers have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the crash.
