After finishing 10th out of more than 70,000 Britain’s Got Talent entrants The Addict Initiative couldn’t be blamed for looking forward to some time away from the spotlight.

Former Maidstone Girls Grammar School pupil and member of the 26-strong dance troupe, Lily Vincent-Frankland, said the group are eager to get back to performing and would love to do the show all over again.

She said: “Britain’s Got Talent was the most amazing experience, being surrounded by so many talented people meant that everyone was really comfortable. It was a great environment.”

Lily from Maidstone, who was drawn to studying dance at Leicester’s Addict Dance Studios after she saw choreographer Ben Davies put on a show at JAG Dance Academy in Brewer Street, plans to return to the town in July after her two-year diploma ends.

But 21-year-old Lily, who started dancing when she was 14 at Margaret Preedy Dance Studios in Tonbridge Road, said she had nothing set in stone for the future and was keeping her options open due to the success of the act.

Lily said: “Because we were a group of 26 we avoided attention to an extent. I did have a little girl ask for a photo because she recognised me from the audition.

“Mostly I would be taking photos for other acts, like rap duo Bars and Melody and singer-songwriter James Smith.”

Lily says there are plans for future projects and collaborations in the pipeline but for the time being the group are all back at college.
