The pianist will be pre-recording the event on Wednesday, December 13, with it set to be broadcast on New Year’s Eve on BBC Two.

Former Squeeze band member Jools Holland, who lives in Rochester, will be playing alongside with his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, as well as a host of guests and performers.

It has not yet been revealed which celebrities or musical artists will be joining him on stage.

Last year’s guests included George Ezra, Rebecca Lucy Taylor aka Self Esteem and Cat Burns.

Those who wish to join the celebrations are being asked to enter a draw, where tickets will be selected at random.

The ballot closes tomorrow (December 4) at 9am.

Click here to enter the draw – fans can apply for a maximum of two tickets and must be over 18.

If you have entered but are not selected, you will remain on a waiting list in case any are cancelled.

Doors open at the studios in Vinters Park from 6.45pm, with the recording starting at 7.45pm and could last up to three hours.

Audience members must come along dressed smartly in New Years Eve attire, which must also be dark clothing.
