Kent Fire and Rescue Service at scene of collision at lights junction for Holland Road and Wheeler Street, near Aldi

A crash outside an Aldi supermarket in Maidstone is causing delays this afternoon.

A car and a van were involved in the collision at the lights junction for Holland Road and Wheeler Street.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene of a collision in Maidstone

The incident happened at about 12.10pm. It is understood there are no injuries but the aftermath is causing traffic problems.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 12.15pm on Sunday 23 August 2020 following a two-car collision in Well Road, Maidstone.

"Officers attended along with Kent Fire and Rescue Service. No serious injuries were reported."

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 12.05pm to reports of a crash between two vehicles at the junction of Well Street and Wheeler Street, in Maidstone. One fire engine attended and the crew helped to make the scene safe."
