Flooding is causing disruption on roads around Maidstone today.

One lane is closed on London Road, between the junction with Hermitage Lane, Aylesford, and Oxley Shaw Lane in Ditton.

Failed traffic lights at the junction with Hermitage Lane, have caused further delays throughout the morning.

The flooding follows heavy rain overnight leading to delays in Maidstone town centre this morning. One lane was blocked in Broadway on the way into the town centre.

The Met Office has issued a weather warning of heavy rain. The county woke up to a drenching, with up to 30mm of rain expected to fall in some places over the next few hours.
