Motorists travelling north into Maidstone from the A229, Loose Road, will face long delays this morning.

An accident involving three vehicles has blocked one of the two lanes at the junction with Sheals Crescent at the start of the one-way system.

The slip road from Upper Stone Street onto Sheals Crescent is also completely closed.

Police are in attendance.

There are no details yet of any injuries.

The accident happened at 7.35am, but although traffic is moving, there are still long delays.
