A crash between a car and a motorbike closed part of a motorway for an hour.
Emergency services shut the M20 coastbound between junction 6 for Aylesford and junction 7 for Detling.
The road reopened shortly after 5.30pm.
Officers and paramedics are at the scene, with motorists initially told to expect delays of about an hour and 20 minutes.
It has caused queues on the M2 between J2 (Wrotham) and J5 (Sittingbourne) with the travel time around 40 minutes, as drivers try to avoid the M20.
Highways England are advising drivers to consider alternative routes and allow for extra time when travelling.
It is not yet known if anybody has been injured.
A police spokesman said: "Officers were called at 3.21pm on June 21 to reports of a collision on the M20 coastbound at junction 7 between a car and a motorbike.
"Officers are at the scene and all lanes are currently closed."
A patient has been taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.
