A man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after an alleged assault.

The incident happened at around 10.45am today, with police and ambulance crews called to the scene in Bicknor Road in the Parkwood area of Maidstone.

Police arrested a man on suspicion of assault and he remains in police custody.

A ambulance service spokesman confirmed that a second man was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital for treatment to head injuries, which are understood not to be life threatening.
