Lee Cuthbert charged after two burglaries in Linton Hill, Maidstone and Windmill Hill, Harrietsham

A man who escaped from police as he was being arrested has been captured.
Lee Cuthbert was wanted on suspicion of two burglaries in Maidstone when officers found him in the Park Wood area.
On Saturday, October 19, a number of items, including jewellery, were reported stolen from an address in Linton Road, Maidstone.
The intruder smashed windows of the property in order to get inside.
A second break-in was reported in Windmill Hill, Harrietsham the following Thursday, where jewellery was stolen again and windows were broken to gain access to the home.
On Monday, October 28, officers attempted to arrest Cuthbert who was seen as they were patrolling the Park Wood area of Maidstone.
He was apprehended but managed to then free himself and evade capture.
Cuthbert was arrested two days later and charged with two counts of burglary and escaping from lawful custody.
He was remanded in custody and appeared before Medway Magistrates Court on Friday.
He did not enter a plea and has been remanded in custody before his appearance at Maidstone Crown Court on November 29.
