Man charged following reported Bearsted break-in

A man has been charged following a reported break-in in Bearsted.

On September 18, central heating fittings and copper were allegedly stolen from a private address in Mallings Drive.

On Monday, Brian Smith, of no fixed address, was arrested in connection with the incident.

The 35-year-old was later charged with burglary and has been bailed to appear before Maidstone Magistrates’ Court in November.
